Provide joy with an easter basket…James Storehouse sent out the call. "We anticipate serving 1,000+ children with baskets this year, including the local foster care community, children and adults experiencing homelessness, churches serving under-resourced communities, children at risk community and so much more… We need your help to make this happen! Please bring completed baskets to James Storehouse between April 1st - April 16th on T,W,F from 9AM-4PM to ensure time for delivery before Easter. "

 | A calendar snapshot of the projectApril 1, Jan, Christina O and Chris went shopping to purchase the Easter items, stuffed animals, chocolate bunnies, other edible treats and toys; such as cars, puzzles, coloring books, sticker books, bubbles, jump ropes and more. April 7, members met at the KCLU community room to stuff themselves (community service brought treats) and easter baskets were Sevana, Denise, Cindy, James and family, DeAnn, Diana, Mary, Jan, Christina, Candice, Jean Luc, Ryan, Chris, Brittney. April 7th James Shipe and family were interviewed by Lance of KCLU fame. The interview aired that week. April 7th DeAnn submitted our Easter basket story to the district. April 14th Stuff the last of the goodies into the baskets. April 15th - Delivered 80 baskets to James Storehouse, who were absolutely thrilled with our baskets. Besides the fact that they were beautiful, the 80 baskets got them to their 1k+ goal. While they are extremely happy with 1k they are always happy to get more. There is so much need this year. James Storehouse told us about all of the excitement that happens when they deliver baskets, definitely fun to hear about. A big thank you to everyone who participated in the Easter basket Project for James Storehouse.
