This Week's Program: City of Westlake Village and YMCA site

Ray Taylor brought along John Knipe and Kerry Kallman for today's program. 

The topic: The Westlake Village Community Park Project with The YMCA

Ray gave the history of the project, starting with a lack of foresight given to active parks when the city incorporated in 1981, through the 2001 City Council approval of the YMCA site development, and the cooperative development of fields at the Oaks Christian School campus.

This project graded two hillsides, removed three landslides, and created a 1/2 mile pad.  There will be a walking loop, and lots of perimeter trees.
