This Week's Program Part 2: City of Westlake Village and Triunfo YMCA

Ray Taylor introduced our own Ronnie Stone who provided updates on the progress of the multimillion-dollar community sports park.  The city invested $15 million to grade the site and install landscaping and underground utilities. In November, David Murdock, president and CEO of Dole Foods and the Four Seasons Hotel on Lindero Canyon Road, offered to help the YMCA and Westlake Village Community Foundation with fundraising efforts to build the sports complex.Thanks in large part to David Murdoch's commitment, work has resumed on the project.  The power point presentation provided glimpses of proposed floorplans, and architect's renderings.  The building will include a wi-fi area, cafe, pools, and pool viewing areas, in addition to fitness areas, child care, and group interests.
