The Conejo Valley is working toward having a regional art museum, which will showcase local artists several times a year in juried competition. There is a likelihood that traveling international art will also make appearances here. The new building is expected to be near The Lakes and adjacent to the Civic Arts Plaza, and will include a pedestrian bridge across TO Blvd, along with expanded parking structure.
Naomi Finkel announced a reception this Friday night at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, from 7p.m. - 9 p.m. for Charter Members.
The RAM Center for the Arts will provide a world-class cultural
experience for visitors and locals alike. Artists, educators, lovers of
art, tourists, students and the general public, will appreciate the
world-class exhibitions of paintings, sculpture, photogaphy, music,
drama and dance. For the region’s more than 302,000 students-of-all-ages
this wonderful venue will provide access to unique art and educational
experiences.
The REGIONAL ART MUSEUM will be in close proximity to the 101
freeway, providing easy access for visitors and will serve nearly
1,142,000 people.
