Volunteers are needed for the Homer Dickerson Youth Ethics Conference, Thursday, March 1, 2018, 7:00 am - 11:00 am at CLU. We need 36 Rotarians. Please contact Bill Notthoff. This is a great event where 120 junior and senior high school students discuss ethical questions. Don't miss it! Important! If any speaker needs AV equipment for his or her presentation, you MUST tell Semih Sinik 2-3 days in advance so he can make it available. Bring your old magazines to Rotary every week and drop them at the sign-in desk. Harold distributes them to local hospitals and nursing homes in the area. Rochelle, a student at CLU and a member of Rotaract, announced their fundraiser; a Poker Night to raise funds for the Thomas Fire Victims. The event is on March 10 th at 7:00 pm at CLU, $50 per ticket. Elliott reported that there are two non-profits he’d like to include in the Street Festival Pet Zone but neither can afford the fee of $75. He passed the ‘hat’ and received $350. You can always count on our members to step up! The agencies are Canine Adoption League, handling the Thomas Fire animals without a home, and Wings of Discovery. Bob Marshall announced the District Training Seminar in Ventura on 3/10. All members on the upcoming BOD, committees and new members are encouraged to go. All Board Meetings are held at 7:30 am in the Community Room at Westlake Village City Hall. All Rotary members are welcome to attend. March 13, 2018 April 10, 2018 May 8, 2018 June 12, 2018 (may change)  Program Today's program was Street Festival Kick-off hosted by Harvey. Here are the reports from the members. * Sponsors - Cristina Auda: $17,000 has been raised so far. The same as the total for next year. With many more banners sold at $350 each we could surpass this amount. Rotary Business owners- buy a banner!
* Logistics - Bill Notthoff: new procedures in vendor sign-up makes a more efficient process and website.
* Marketing - Mike Dutra: “Share & Like” on Facebook; There are many posters and fliers ready to be disbursed.
* Kids Zone - Patrick Yarrow
* Vendors - Nadine: With 146 booths available and 64 already assigned, we are ahead of last year’s count. We are looking for more vendors – spread the word.
* Car Show - Harvey Magidow There are 100 spots with 45 already taken- $25 each. Harvey has more car clubs to visit. Fliers available.
* Volunteers - Karen Quigley Everyone is expected to work at Street Festival. Please sign up electronically. The alternative is a personal phone call from this efficient coordinator.
* Pet Zone - Elliot Blinder: see above.
* Entertainment – Poornima: There is a large variety of entertainers and all slots are full.
* Insurance - Aaron Guerrero
* Food Vendors - Brian Hynes & Kimmy
* Beer Vendors - Dapper Spar: We need more beer vendors so Lee and Dapper will hit the streets.
* Public Safety - Brad Ormsby; Fire, Sheriff and Disaster Response are ready.
* Permits - Steve Kerrigan; Has all needed permits except the alcohol permit which cannot be obtained before a certain date

What is the difference between pairs figure skating and pairs ice dancing? Ice dancers are evaluated based on the precision and synchronicity of their moves and ice dancers are not permitted to do lifts over the head or throw their partners. Figure skaters are more focused on jumps, lifts and spins. Figure skater evaluations focus on footwork.
