District Conference is in Monterey October 3-5.  EPIC bike rides are bookending the Conference.

Westlake Village Sunrise is hosting a Poker Tournament October 6 at North Ranch Country Club

Membership meeting August 25, noon, at KCLU Studio

 

Our newest Paul Harris Fellow:

Foundation Chairperson Ed Pope presented Bob Marshall with his first Paul Harris Fellow.  Bob now joins approximately 629 Paul Harris Fellows from our club.  Bob's contribution went toward funding a computer lab for a school in Nicaragua.  Thank you, Bob, for your generosity.

Today's Program: The Shoppes in Westlake Village

 

PP Brad Ormsby introduced Todd Acalin and Dan Selleck, of Selleck Development Group.

 

Todd and Dan presented on The Shoppes in Westlake Village.  We learned how the land was rezoned for this highest and best use as retail space.  The presentation included side-by-side photos of the original renderings with the finished product.  Occupancy is already over 95%, and the minimum lease-length is 5 years.  Members are looking forward to testing out the new Total Woman, BCBC Nails, Jeannine’s Gourmet Food Hall, Olio e Limone Ristorante and Olio Pizzeria, In-N-Out Burger, Lighthouse Salon Suites, Hook Burger, Los Agaves Restaurant, and of course, the largest and best-equipped Target store in the state.  The Shoppes is designed as a "family-friendly gathering place with a Napa-European theme," with the feel of a small street, elegant buildings and lush landscaping.
