February 13, 2018 March 13, 2018 April 10, 2018 May 8, 2018 June 12, 2018 (may change)  Program Our speaker today was FBI Special Agent Jeff Cugno, who spoke about Verbal De-Escalation Techniques. Special Agent Cugno began his career with the FBI in 2000 and was assigned to the L.A. office's Cyber Crime Squad. In 2006 he became the Director of the Primary National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime, where he was involved in the investigation of repetitive and violent crimes, counter terrorism and communications threats. He was also a team leader for the FBI's Evidence Response Team, and in May 2012, he was selected as a member of the Child Abduction Rapid Deployment Team. He is also a certified FBI negotiator and police instructor, and has provided training to over 4000 people on the topics of crisis negotiation, cyber crime investigation, counter terrorism and others. Agent Cugno hold a Master of Science Degree in Justice, Law and Society. His fascinating presentation concerned how to de-escalate potentially angry, threatening or violent situations using verbal and body language techniques. Trivia!
