Today's Program:
From Moorpark College Athletics Department, we enjoyed having Howard Davis as our speaker. Howard told about the students who compete for the college, the many sporting events offered at the school, and shared which teams were discontinued as a result of the state budget crisis. Howard answered many of our questions, specific to teams, rivalries, leagues, and more. Many of our club members and their family members have attended Moorpark College over the years, and many of us attend the games and sporting events offered.
Moorpark College would love to us to continue supporting them, whether through volunteering at the events or attending their games. There are many night events offered with free admission, and as an added bonus to meeting Howard at today's meeting, he will get you a free pass if you contact him in advance at 805.378.1457.
Mark your calendars for August 30, which is the Gala Dinner for Moorpark College held at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. KNCB Sports Anchor Fred Roggin will emcee the event, and you'll get to hear from former Dodger and Angel Jay Johnstone. Email Howard for more information: hdavis@vcccd.edu or go the the website: www.moorparkcollegeathletics.com

Just a reminder that it's time for Annual Dues. The additional charge for dues appears on the June invoice, and is due at that time. This $100 charge is paid forward by our club to the District 5240 and to Rotary International. The total cost of the combined dues is approximately $130 annually. The difference is subsidized by our club's general income.
