What a great way to start off our meeting.  Past President Cheri Blessing led the flag salute.  Past member and current RYLA instructor Eric Wiltfang surprised us with a new song: "You're a Grand Old Flag".  PP Gary Dickey delivered a wonderful invocation that suited the Flag Day reminder.

Four Way Test Essay Contest: Previous runner up Daniel Aylander was one of our high school winners this year for our club's essay contest. 

Today, Stephanie Bell-Harbourne presented Daniel with his awards for District 5240.  Congratulations, Daniel!

 

Scholarship Committee:  PP Brad Ormsby, with some help from Marion Hall-Marshall, introduced two of our scholarship recipients: Heironimus Loho, of Westlake High School , and Sarah Langley of Oak Park High School.

Our scholarship committee awarded $5000 in total scholarships this year.  

 

PP Ed Pope took the podium, and I missed his message.  Hopefully you all were listening.

OakHeart Country Music Fest 2014 was held on June 14.  It was a great day, thanks to the hard work of the OakHeart Committee and all the volunteers and supporters.  Watch for more stories and pictures from the day in a later bulletin.
