If you like fun, this past week sure had that. Please check out all the pictures on Facebook and Instagram.

Starting with our meeting on Wednesday we had the District Governor Scott Phillips present to our club. The room was "Pretty in Pink" as we got loud for Scott. Thank you to those who helped decorate.

After the meeting we met at the Landing and took Scott and his mom Jan on our annual DG Boat Ride. Thank you Dapper, Steve, Andy Lupanow and Audrey/Erin for providing the boats, drinks and hors d'oeuvres. After the ride we were "piped in" by Gary then headed to dinner for more drinks, hors d'oeuvres, dinner and dessert. Scott and Jan were very appreciative.

Friday night saw our members at the Canyon Club for a fundraiser for Morrison Park Playground. We raised over $5,000 and enjoyed the music of Bruno and the Hooligans. Also Ryan Goldman told me he had some exciting news, but I will let him tell you when he is able.

Saturday night saw our members at MC's Backyard Party, listening to live music, drinking and enjoying fresh baked pizza. Many of us hit the dance floor and had a great time. Thank you MC and all who helped, especially Ryan Majus who had to take back the porta potties to Pasadena to be cleaned, then to Lancaster to be stored. And on top of that he had to get up at 4:00am to head to Utah for work. Safe travels Ryan.

October sees us at Reyes Adobe Days promoting Morrison Park Playground the second weekend, 7th-9th. We will also have a booth at the Rotary of Thousand Oaks Street Festival, Sunday the 16th promoting Holidays in the Village. The 22nd Mary Olsen will be hosting our Halloween Party and on the 29th Lynn Jacobsen and her husband Steve are hosting a party at their house. So plenty of fun activities to enjoy.

Hope to see you at our Wednesday meeting October 5th, Mike
